fringe festival 2015
In February 2015 The Vic Park Collective in association with both the Town of Victoria Park, Six Thousand and Fringe World committed their involvement in bringing this well known annual festival to Victoria Park. They called it the "Sunday Club" as the events ran every Sunday in February.
The event was very successful with several venues selling out their tickets. The entertainment included live music, street art, print art and comedy.
Some great spaces were activated, like the rear garden at Protective Behaviours (now the Vic Park MiniLab) along with the rear laneway seating area at Theo & Co Pizzeria. They were both decked out with pallet furniture, beach balls and pop up bar areas, with both venues packed out for all events. Some of the other businesses activated for Fringe were The Precinct, The Butcher Shop, Crow Books and the Balmoral Hotel.
Feedback from patrons and surrounding business owners indicated they were keen to see more live music events of this kind throughout the year.
